So amazing!

i came home from a long day and Mateus came to my house and said “uncle, look at my new sunglasses!” he was so happy to show it to me.

now we can go hang out at the beach together. can’t wait.

so stoked to see Joshua Moniz beating some really good international surfers. he got a 9.6 out of 10! amazing!

i had to go down to the yacht club so thought i’d go catch a few waves. when when i pulled up, it was empty and the waves were super good. want to thank Reid for letting me go on the first set that arrived. i was so stoked!

wish i was sitting on that table right now enjoying a cold bintang, then waking up tomorrow morning pulling into huge barrels. miss you guys!

it’s been so hot and beautiful recently. luckily we have the trade winds to cool us down. keep cool and drink a lot of water!

OMG, look at this cute mermaid! want to congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Takeda on their newborn “Manoa-chan!” so cute and can’t wait to meet her!

speaking of babies, this video i posted on youtube got recognized by a big company that wants to use the footage. hopefully it will go through and Mateus will be the most famous surf baby!

when ever i hang out with young kids these days, i try to teach them some common sense. i tell them that there are cameras everywhere so don’t do stupid things. so speaking of stupid things, look at these high school kids trying to break into a vacant house in hawaii kai. they’ve been borrowing the pool and smoking weed here 4 days of the past week. now this video went viral and is on the local news and social media. these kids will guarantee get caught and face some pretty harsh penalties from the police. my advice to these kids is “better off go surfing!”
last, i predicted another champion many years ago. Shun Murakami just became JPSA Grand Champion! so stoked to watch this kids dreams come true! check out this video i took of him getting on a flight back to japan.
