\"\"\u00a0if i were to explain a take off on a 12′ Pipeline wave on a shortboard, i’d say it’s not that bad. \u00a0just have to commit and if you fall, it isn’t that dangerous. \u00a0but taking off on a head high wave on a foil is way more risky. \u00a0you have to commit and if you fall, you have a chance of getting sliced up pretty good. \u00a0i already ordered a bigger board so i can take of on bigger waves with my foil. \u00a0someday Pipeline? \u00a0haha. \u00a0\u00a0\"\"\u00a0so happy to surf with Marissa yesterday. \u00a0i taught her how to surf when she was a little baby, and now she’s surfing like an experience woman. \u00a0this is my reward…\"\"\u00a0the higher you get, the higher you fall! \u00a0you should have seen my wipeout after this! \u00a0head first!!! \u00a0\"\"\u00a0the nurse tells me to change into this. \u00a0she walks in later and says “excuse me, you put it on backwards.” \u00a0Opps…. \u00a0\"\"\u00a0then the nurse stick the IV in me. \u00a0then she starts asking me questions.<\/p>\n

  6. did you fall down recently? \u00a0no\"\"\u00a0then i thought to myself, “omg, i fall everyday! \u00a0i even fell 5x yesterday.” \u00a0opps…\"\"then the anesthesiologist walks in and says “you will be ok. \u00a0you won’t feel any pain.” \u00a0i told him “please give me more than usual because i woke up during my first eye surgery 11 years ago. \u00a0it was like a nightmare!” \u00a0he says “don’t worry.” \u00a0then towards the end of my eye surgery, i freaking woke up! \u00a0it was so painful so i started freaking out and give me more gas. \u00a0then my Doctor was calmly saying “keep calm Kirby.” \u00a0 now i know how my students feel when i’m telling them to keep calm when the waves are huge! \u00a0haha… \u00a0 maybe it was payback?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
