\u00a0i heard about the Amasan here but had no idea where they were. \u00a0after a little research, i took a subway, bullet train, local bus, and walked for a very long time. \u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102240\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0can you read that? \u00a0neither can i! \u00a0haha. \u00a0the cool thing about traveling in countries like this is that sign language is international.. \u00a0just point and you shall go&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102239\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5631.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>after 2 trains, a local bus ride, and 4.5 hours, i finally arrived to the ocean! \u00a0it was so beautiful!\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102244\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5603.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0and there they were! \u00a0the Amasan of Korea! \u00a0the Women of the Sea! \u00a0i was so excited to see them!!!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102243\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5611.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0these grandma&#8217;s live the very simple life. \u00a0live by the sea, and live off the sea. \u00a0i think this is such an amazing way to live. \u00a0 very healthy, and very happy!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102241\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5630.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0everything well organized. \u00a0no electricity or no running water. \u00a0everything provided by nature.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-102238\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5619.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0the cool thing about here is you can actually eat their catch. \u00a0just point and you will figure it out. \u00a0once again, international sign language at its best! \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102245\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5629.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>just to be able to see the Amasan was a dream for me. \u00a0but having them prepare their catch right in front of you was a fantasy. \u00a0the freshest seafood you can ever imagine. \u00a0and with every bite, i thought i was in heaven! \u00a0i think i&#8217;m in love with Korea! \u00a0haha&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0it&#8217;s always been a dream to look for the Women of the Sea. \u00a0did that in Japan, but now that i&#8217;m in Korea, why not look for them here?
