{"id":102489,"date":"2019-06-18T05:53:32","date_gmt":"2019-06-17T20:53:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=102489"},"modified":"2019-06-18T05:53:32","modified_gmt":"2019-06-17T20:53:32","slug":"forbidden-shark-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=102489","title":{"rendered":"Forbidden Shark Country"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102494\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_8666-663x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"442\" \/>Toda-san was towing me out into the deep blue where the biggest of the tiger sharks roam. \u00a0 there is a big wave out there and if you time it right, you can foil the wave of your life. \u00a0Takami-san shooting photos, Toda-san driving, and i let go the rope and pump into the biggest wave i&#8217;ve ever foiled. \u00a0was going down the face so fast that my foil couldn&#8217;t handle the turbulence and flipped over. \u00a0and of course, me too!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102490\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_8679-663x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"442\" \/>i didn&#8217;t have a leash so my board went all the way in. \u00a0swimming all alone with only one eye, i remembered that this is the place they call Tiger Shark Country. \u00a0 was i scared? \u00a0to be honest, a little. \u00a0haha&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102493\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_8680-663x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"442\" \/>i just ordered another foil that&#8217;s specialized for big waves. \u00a0once i get it, i&#8217;m going straight back out there and trying again!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102492\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_8642-663x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"442\" \/>been teaching this kid how to surf and enjoy the ocean for many years now. \u00a0but recently, i seen a really big change. \u00a0Aoi-kun&#8217;s super connected with the ocean now and looks confident, cool, and calm. \u00a0that is my ultimate goal because from now on, this kid can do it on his own. \u00a0he probably can even save a life in the meantime&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102496\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_8712-663x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"442\" \/>so cool to find a little surf point just for ourselves. \u00a0no stress, no attitude, no locals, and no bullshit. \u00a0this is what surfing is all about&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102497\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_8751-663x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"442\" \/>happy to be in the water with Takami-san too. \u00a0it&#8217;s been 30 years of surfing together and enjoying the rides&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-102491\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Screen-Shot-2019-06-17-at-6.49.49-AM-663x654.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"654\" \/>in the past 7 days, there have been 236 recorded thefts from Diamond Head to Kakaa&#8217;ko. \u00a0 can you freaking believe that???
