{"id":1030,"date":"2008-10-25T15:27:35","date_gmt":"2008-10-25T06:27:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori3.sakura.ne.jp\/kirbyfukunaga\/2008\/10\/25\/honolulu-magazine-50-reasons-to-love-this-city-honolulu-hawaii\/"},"modified":"2008-10-25T15:27:35","modified_gmt":"2008-10-25T06:27:35","slug":"honolulu-magazine-50-reasons-to-love-this-city-honolulu-hawaii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=1030","title":{"rendered":"Honolulu Magazine:  50 Reasons to LOVE This City, Honolulu, Hawaii&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>good evening.  i went to my eye doctor today for a check up.  my eye is still bloodshot red but he said that it might be like that for a while.  my question was &#8220;when can i go back in the water&#8221;.  he told me i can go in with goggles but not in the sun.  so there it is.  i can surf with goggles on.  evening or morning session?  come monday morning, i&#8217;m going dawn patrol surfing.  he also said that i can go diving but not too deep.  if i start feeling pressure in my eye, stop.  so there it is, i&#8217;m going to be patient for 2 more days and then it&#8217;s back in the water.  can&#8217;t wait&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"files\/20081025073624.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/20081025073624.jpeg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\nmy doctor has so many patients so i have to wait a while.  in the hallway, there are these photograph\/paintings all over the place.  this one is called skyride, and is taken by photographer jim kastner.   this is taken on the island of molokai&#8230;  nice yeah?  i stare at this photo every time i go there..<br \/>\n<a href=\"files\/Image000.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/Image000.jpeg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\nthen i picked up the new HONOLULU MAGAZINE.  this one was very interesting.  50 reasons to LOVE this city, honolulu.  cool article&#8230;  and they also had the private school guide for oahu.  did you know that it costs $15,750\/year for punahou school?  did i spell that right?  don&#8217;t care, i&#8217;m not from there.  anyway, that&#8217;s where michelle wie, barack obama and ceri aoyama are from.  ceri who?  i&#8217;ll get into that later.  but yeah, i&#8217;ll have to admit, punahou is a good school.  i got some friends from there and their all doing pretty well.   but so are my friends from kaiser high, the free school&#8230;.  haha&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"files\/20081025074855.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/20081025074855.jpeg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\nback to the 50 reasons to LOVE this city.  #1:  Bon Dances.  #2:  karaoke bar food  #5:  kikaida fans.  japanese, japanese, and japanese.   pretty interesting yeah?  3 of the top 5 were related to japanese.  do you know what i would have chosen for the top 3?   #1:  the aloha spirit  #2:  waikiki  #3:  hawaii&#8217;s beautiful people&#8230;.  then all that other stuff would come after&#8230;.  especially kikaida fans, because i&#8217;m one of them&#8230;.
