\"\"i was watching Seth’s heat and thinking to myself “wow, this kid is surfing in South Africa. \u00a0i surfed J-Bay before Seth was even born! \u00a0and now this kids is surfing against the worlds elite!<\/p>\n

\"\"when people come up to me and talk about Seth, most say he’s a “natural.” \u00a0that means able to adapt to any conditions, able to compete at any level, able to keep calm, and able to have the confidence for anything. \u00a0i totally agree… \u00a0now it’s Round 3 so time to become Super Natural!<\/p>\n

\"\"i was so excited to take 9 year old Yui surfing this morning. \u00a0the god-son of Nao-san so i already got a heads up about this kid. \u00a0from the beginning, he was super calm, and super confident.<\/p>\n

\"\"this was his very first wave of his life!!! \u00a0popped right up and did everything exactly what i said. \u00a0perfect everything!!!<\/p>\n

\"\"his face was glowing right after his first ride. \u00a0he kept his cool and kept his excitement within. \u00a0kind of reminded me of how Seth was when he was this age.<\/p>\n

\"\"i gave Yui a high five and from then on, it was wave after wave after wave. \u00a0 smile after smile after smile…<\/p>\n

\"\"then this kid started paddling into waves on his own! \u00a0super calm and super confident. \u00a0it was like he was born to be in the ocean. \u00a0one of the local Uncle’s paddled by and said “wow, that kid is a natural!”<\/p>\n

\"\"Yui surfed so perfectly that he didn’t even fall. \u00a0so as the coach i am, i made him fall on purpose. \u00a0i pushed the nose down and watched him do a head flip over the board into the water. \u00a0i did that on purpose because i wanted to see his reaction. \u00a0and guess what? \u00a0calm and cool! \u00a0he got back up smiling and wanted more! \u00a0haha.<\/p>\n

\"\"good job Yui! \u00a0i’m super proud of you! \u00a0hope to surf with you again! \u00a0but for now, go back to Japan and surf with Aunty Nao-san! \u00a0you’re actually much calmer than her. \u00a0haha. \u00a0and thank you Megumi-san for letting me take Yui for his first surfing experience. \u00a0this kids life will never be the same… \u00a0because he’s a “natural!”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
