\"\"Round 1: \u00a0met the coolest kid this morning. \u00a0Musashi-kun surfed a few times in Hawaii before but today was the biggest he’s tried. \u00a0after a few waves in the inside, i knew he was ready for the big sets!<\/p>\n

\"\"and every wave, every smile…<\/p>\n

\"\"this are the kind of photos i’m looking to get. \u00a0but\u00a0nobody knows the risks of trying to get a super nice photo like this. \u00a0i have to position myself really close to get a full frame shot like this. \u00a0and yes, it looks very calm and perfect at this moment…<\/p>\n

\"\"than all it takes is one slip of the board and the danger begins…<\/p>\n

\"\"have you ever had a 11′ hard surfboard hit you in the head?<\/p>\n

\"\"i have many times and maybe that’s why my memory is so bad these days…<\/p>\n

\"\"but as i teach everyone, if you fall, get back up and try again. \u00a0great time surfing with you today Musashi-kun! \u00a0and you almost got to see a local vs. local fight today too! \u00a0you lucky boy!<\/p>\n

\"\"Round 2: \u00a0then it was surfing with the Oshima-san boys. \u00a0first was Papa on a beauty!<\/p>\n

\"\"the waves were super good again this afternoon. \u00a0photos don’t lie…<\/p>\n

\"\"Ojiro-kun wanted to surf with us today so i threw a board in the truck last minute. \u00a0smaller board than normal, and much bigger waves than normal. \u00a0it was the first time i seen this kid a little nervous.<\/p>\n

\"\"but once he caught a set, he popped right up and turned to the right. it was amazing!!!<\/p>\n

\"\"then Renta-kun popped up and surfed 2x better than yesterday. \u00a0he was flying!<\/p>\n

\"\"and he was smiling…<\/p>\n

\"\"the great reward of teaching surfing is watching the kids grow. \u00a0 growing up into fine young men that love the ocean. \u00a0i’m so happy to be a part of their lives…<\/p>\n

\"\"Round 3: \u00a0it’s contest day tomorrow so i took Seira-chan out to Queen’s to practice. \u00a0it was her first time surfing there so there was a lot to learn. \u00a0and omg, the surf was amazing!!! \u00a0the most beautiful photos posting soon. \u00a03 rounds at 6 hours in the hot sun again so my brain is waterlogged. \u00a0goodnight for now…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
