{"id":105328,"date":"2019-09-10T05:46:25","date_gmt":"2019-09-09T20:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=105328"},"modified":"2019-09-10T05:46:25","modified_gmt":"2019-09-09T20:46:25","slug":"secret-surf-and-foil-hawaii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=105328","title":{"rendered":"Secret Surf and Foil Hawaii&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105329\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Screen-Shot-2019-09-09-at-11.16.32-AM-663x425.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"425\" \/>i had a surfer from Japan yesterday that didn&#8217;t want to be identified because he&#8217;s not supposed to be here. \u00a0it was his first trip to Hawaii. \u00a0he went surfing the day before at crowded Waikiki and only caught a couple waves. \u00a0his image of surfing and Hawaii was pretty bad&#8230; \u00a0so when he came to me, yesterday, i gave him a few tips on the beach, and more in the water. \u00a0each wave i was teaching him how to improve his surfing skills. \u00a0he caught perfect wave after wave and paddle back out smiling. \u00a0he was super stoked and so was i&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105330\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Screen-Shot-2019-09-09-at-11.17.02-AM-663x373.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"373\" \/>in Japan, nobody surfs when the waves get big because you can&#8217;t get out. \u00a0but if you know how to dive under a wave like this, it&#8217;s pretty easy to get out at some of the biggest waves in the world. \u00a0i taught him how to do it and he made it out every single time, even when overhead waves were crashing down on him. \u00a0after our session, he told me &#8220;omg, when i woke up this morning, i told myself i would never come to Hawaii again. \u00a0but now, i&#8217;m coming back for sure.&#8221; \u00a0that&#8217;s what i love to hear&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105331\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_8399.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>recently, i can&#8217;t find Seira-chan because she blends in with the locals. \u00a0can you find her? \u00a0haha&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105332\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_8403.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>i drove home and seen this Lexus that was strange. \u00a0the front wheels and the back wheels were not aligned. \u00a0it looked like it was floating sidewards. \u00a0probably got into a major accident and got repaired the wrong way. \u00a0and the driver probably has no idea. \u00a0haha&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105337\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_8060.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>when i go to Waikiki, i love to people watch. \u00a0this guy will never ever catch a wave like this. \u00a0it&#8217;s impossible like this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105333\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Screen-Shot-2019-09-05-at-12.29.37-PM-1-663x374.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"374\" \/>Toda-san is getting so good in foiling that i don&#8217;t even want to watch him anymore. \u00a0haha. \u00a0if you teach someone how to do something and they can do it better and faster than you did?
