\u00a0the whole island was there and the whole world was watching! \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108013\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1454.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>while Seth was getting ready for his heat, he just found out that he won the Rookie of the Year award! \u00a0he was super stoked! \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-108019\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1470.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>if i could bring all of my students to the Pipe Masters, i would. \u00a0you will learn a lot, mostly about commitment, confidence, and keeping calm&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-108018\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1464.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>good to see my whole family there. \u00a0here is 4 generations of the Fukunaga Bloodline. \u00a0yes, believe it or not, but there is a whole lot of Japanese blood in this photo&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-108020\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1469.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>Seth came up short in his heat against Kelly Slater. \u00a0we all thought he won on his last wave but i understand if you want to beat Kelly, you have to really beat him. \u00a0Seth learned a lot this year and he won the prestigious Rookie of the Year trophy. \u00a0i want to congratulate him on that as well as coach Rainos Hayes. \u00a0you guys made Hawaii really proud!
