{"id":108186,"date":"2019-12-26T05:54:44","date_gmt":"2019-12-25T20:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=108186"},"modified":"2019-12-26T05:54:44","modified_gmt":"2019-12-25T20:54:44","slug":"christmas-a-new-generation-and-a-new-tradition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=108186","title":{"rendered":"Christmas:  A new generation, and a new tradition&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108189\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1595-e1577239602898.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>i went to our family dinner at Kelia&#8217;s house and was greeted with a welcome drink. \u00a0it was so strong!!!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108195\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1612-e1577239572461.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>it&#8217;s so cool to see the kids growing up and still loving Christmas so much&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108191\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1597.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>i started off at the pupu table. \u00a0local style&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108196\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1605-e1577239584870.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>my 2 beautiful Nieces told us that they were going to cook and prepare everything this year. \u00a0wow, that was a first!!! \u00a0Thank you Kelia and Temari!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108193\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1596.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>fresh squid luau. \u00a0the squid from the ocean and the luau leaves from the mountain. \u00a010 hours went into this if you include me diving for the tako.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108194\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1606.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>slow cooked kalua pig. \u00a0it took the girls 15 hours to make this!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108199\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1607.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>then cutting up the salmon, tomatoes, onions, and creating the best lomilomi salmon in the world!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108190\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1611.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>it was the first time these girls did everything, and hopefully not the last&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108197\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1614.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>this was my first plate. \u00a0i ended up going back for more 3 times!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-108198\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1617.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>then we had a special birthday to celebrate. \u00a0surprise!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-108201\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_1602.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>Kaira loves Hawaiian food and she loves Christmas. \u00a0i had a great time with my family and next week will be our New Year&#8217;s Party. \u00a0i wonder what the girls are going to make?
