{"id":109534,"date":"2020-02-21T12:20:38","date_gmt":"2020-02-21T03:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=109534"},"modified":"2020-02-21T12:20:38","modified_gmt":"2020-02-21T03:20:38","slug":"sleeping-on-the-job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=109534","title":{"rendered":"Sleeping on the Job&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-109535\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-21-at-11.36.48-AM-663x374.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"374\" \/>another windy morning so we did something different. \u00a0we surfed the lefts at Bowls on the very low tide. \u00a0it was very challenging but Seira-chan knows how to adapt to change&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-109537\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-21-at-11.37.52-AM-663x449.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"449\" \/>when we were paddling out, most of the guys were complaining on how windy it was. \u00a0yes, if you go right against the wind, it&#8217;s windy. \u00a0but if you go left with the wind like this, it&#8217;s epic! \u00a0use your head guys! \u00a0haha&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-109536\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-21-at-11.38.13-AM-663x435.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"435\" \/>then i looked over at Rock Piles and all the locals went in. \u00a0so we paddled over and took yet another challenge. \u00a0yeah, we love challenges&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-109538\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-21-at-11.38.29-AM-663x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"381\" \/>in the beginning, Seira-chan was lost at sea. \u00a0Rock Piles Rights is one of the hardest waves if you don&#8217;t know how to approach it. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-109539\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-21-at-11.39.22-AM-663x374.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"374\" \/>but if you know the reef, current, swell direction, and take off point, it&#8217;s actually the easiest wave to surf. \u00a0i was having a blast with my twin fin! \u00a0it&#8217;s crazy that i surfed Rock Piles from when i was 15 years old. \u00a0so yeah, maybe that qualifies me for a local?
