{"id":110295,"date":"2020-03-21T05:14:49","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T20:14:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=110295"},"modified":"2020-03-21T05:14:49","modified_gmt":"2020-03-20T20:14:49","slug":"no-lifeguards-on-duty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=110295","title":{"rendered":"No Lifeguards on Duty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-110296\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_3652.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>no matter how much rain and how dirty the water is, you can find a spot or two that is crystal clear. \u00a0it&#8217;s just the way the currents flow and where the water drains out from the island. \u00a0in this case, we are between 2 main drainages so the water is usually clear here no matter what.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-110300\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-20-at-7.21.20-AM-663x372.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"372\" \/>i gave Seira-chan 2 choices in the morning. \u00a0go somewhere perfect and walk the longboard, or go somewhere wild and challenge ourselves. \u00a0on this day, she wanted to walk&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-110298\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-20-at-7.19.50-AM-663x372.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"372\" \/>perfect choice for me because i love perfect waves. \u00a0i had a blast!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-110299\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-20-at-7.20.10-AM-663x424.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"424\" \/>long point right wave with Mayuki in the back. \u00a0this is better then an Indonesia boat trip!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-110301\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-20-at-7.22.24-AM-663x374.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"374\" \/>one of the old timers surfing out there said &#8220;is that your daughter?&#8221; \u00a0i said &#8220;yes.&#8221; \u00a0haha. \u00a0people often ask me that and when i say &#8220;no,&#8221; \u00a0they give me a strange face and think i&#8217;m a creepy guy hanging out with a young girl. \u00a0haha. \u00a0so yeah, it&#8217;s easier to say &#8220;yes&#8221; sometimes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-110302\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-20-at-7.22.36-AM-663x372.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"372\" \/>then he said &#8220;your daughter surfs so gracefully!&#8221; \u00a0i said &#8220;thank you.&#8221; \u00a0haha&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-110297\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Screen-Shot-2020-03-20-at-7.18.37-AM-663x374.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"374\" \/>with all the panic going on in this world, there&#8217;s no where else i&#8217;d rather be. \u00a0and if the rumors are true that someday everybody can&#8217;t leave their house because of the virus, i&#8217;m moving to the sea the day before that happens. \u00a0i have everything on Mayuki to survive for a very long time. \u00a0my surfboard, speargun, shoyu, and wasabi&#8230; \u00a0and the crazy thing about it is that it&#8217;s the safest place anyway so nobody will bother me. \u00a0empty lineups is like a dream to me&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-110303\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_3671.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>last, all state parks are closed until May 1st!
