\"\"since it was Ken-kun’s first time surfing, i was very careful that he doesn’t get traumatized. \u00a0so i’m trying to entertain him so he doesn’t freakout. \u00a0and it was working really good in the beginning. \u00a0\"\"this was his first wave! \u00a0look how happy he was! \u00a0smiling the whole way!!! \u00a0but then….\"\"i fell off the board and so did he. \u00a0if you’re a 4 year old kid, you would freak out. \u00a0haha. \u00a0\"\"i saw him go over backwards and his face was full of fear. \u00a0i grab him instantly had start laughing out loud. \u00a0he wasn’t sure what to do or what to feel, so he started laughing after. \u00a0it’s times like this i was happy that his Dad wasn’t nearby. \u00a0if he was, that would be the end of surfing for this kid. \u00a0\"\"but Dad wasn’t near so he couldn’t cry. \u00a0this is the reason i tell parents to stay very far away. \u00a0Ken-kun just got back on the board and had to be brave. \u00a0\"\"then we paddled back out and he was ready to go again! \u00a0simple psychology. \u00a0haha…\"\"the next wave was even better. \u00a0this time we didn’t fall and this time the ride went perfectly. \u00a0you can see how stoked he is…\"\"we surfed 2 rounds today and i’m sure Ken-kun is going to want to surf again for sure. \u00a0i just love this Okinawan kid! \u00a0\"\"Father and Son loving the ocean, and loving Hawaii. \u00a0this is what surfing is all about. \u00a0especially at times like this, we have to stay positive, happy, healthy, and together. \u00a0that’s what the ocean provides…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
