{"id":114993,"date":"2020-11-29T12:39:20","date_gmt":"2020-11-29T03:39:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=114993"},"modified":"2020-11-29T12:39:20","modified_gmt":"2020-11-29T03:39:20","slug":"foggy-morning-flight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=114993","title":{"rendered":"Foggy Morning Flight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-114997\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_2581-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>Carter and i went to a secret foiling spot early this morning. \u00a0it was still dark and we were the first ones there. \u00a0paddling out to an empty ocean is the best feeling in the world!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-114994\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_2583-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>the sun started to rise, just the two of us sharing wave after wave. \u00a0this was how clear and beautiful it was&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-114995\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_2597-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>then it got foggy. \u00a0some weird California haze making it look weird. \u00a0but who cares when you&#8217;re foiling a perfect wave like this. \u00a0it was Carter&#8217;s first time out here and i&#8217;m sure it&#8217;s not his last.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-114998\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_2605-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>this spot has the longest rides on the island. \u00a0just imagine paddling out triple the distance of Bowls, and riding the waves all the way to the beach. \u00a0this is called &#8220;foilers paradise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-114999\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_2609-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>it&#8217;s cool how the fog makes the sunrise look so cool! \u00a0the only thing was, it wasn&#8217;t really fog. \u00a0it was water that got into my iPhone and flooded the case. \u00a0causing it to fog and i&#8217;m not sure if it will ever work the same again. \u00a0but it was worth the shot&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-114996\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/IMG_0580-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/>i was tired from waking up at 2:30am again. \u00a0we got home at 9am and still had the whole day ahead of us. \u00a0so after a little nap, i went to check out Diamond Head. \u00a0i couldn&#8217;t believe hardly anybody was out. \u00a0grabbed my foil, ran down the cliff, rode 5 waves, and i was done for the day. \u00a0it was like a super bonus for me. \u00a0i&#8217;m totally burnt out, but stoked!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carter and i went to a secret foiling spot early this morning. \u00a0it was still dark and we were the first ones there. \u00a0paddling out to an empty ocean is the best feeling in the world!
