like i said before, going to Luang Prabang was a dream for me. to wake
\nup at 5am in the cold morning and walk out to the streets was weird.
\nyes, it was only me at first, then all of a sudden, the monks kept on
\nappearing one after another. then formed a long line and people were
\noffering them food in the streets. they came out, went around the city
\nin a perfect formed line, then went back to their temple. i thought it
\nwas pretty fascinating.
\nLuang Prabang is not only a World Heritage Site, it’s a World Heritage
\nCity. the whole city is preserved and will be untouched forever. the
\nonly thing will change is the amount of tourists going there. i can see
\nthis place becoming one of the “Must See” cities of the world.
\ni finally got back to japan and i’m pretty tired. the bus ride killed
\nme inside and out. hot, muggy, cramped, long, noisy, stink, and just
\nreally uncomfortable. i purposely didn’t drink water because i didn’t
\nwant to hold my pee in for a long time. i usually drink 3 liters of
\nwater when i’m traveling, but that day, i drank only a few sips. after
\ni got off, i was dehydrated, super tired, and really weak. i was in
\nneed of a gatorade but couldn’t find one.
\nthis past 2 weeks have been really long for me. so many things happened
\nand i just can’t keep up with myself. M5 went really well and i finally
\ngot to see the photos of so many happy people. i’m ready to go back to
\nhawaii and surf my brains out. i’m hungry for waves, i’m hungry for
\nbarrels, and i’m hungry for time with my family and friends.
\nwhen i put my long pants and shoes away, and get out my surf trunks and
\nslippers, life will go back to normal. after being out of the ocean for
\nthe past 2 weeks, i come to find out how much i need it in my life.
\nwithout it, i wouldn’t be the same person. better get going!
\nhave lots to talk about and lots of photos to post but time is the
\nessence. a well balanced life is what i strive for and it’s time to get
\noff my computer.
