when i was making youtube videos, i would get all kinds of comments. \u00a0after a while, i stopped replying because some were not worth my time. \u00a0there are a lot of haters in the world and i won’t give them a second of my life. \u00a0check this one out: \u00a0“eh you fucken jap go back japan!!!” \u00a0you japs don’t know who to surf you just fucken take up space in da lineup. \u00a0fuck you jap go home japan.” \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

in my lifetime, i had 2 experiences of guys saying that exact same thing to my face in the water. \u00a0to me, that’s fighting words! \u00a0so i instantly attacked them and kept on punching them in the face until my hands were bleeding and broken. \u00a0my anger overtook the pain. \u00a0if my friends didn’t pull me off i probably would have gone to jail. \u00a0i still get angry thinking about it. \u00a0i better go take some deep breaths…<\/p>\n

anyway, check out the video the guy left the comment on. \u00a0i was commenting in Japanese but youtube deleted the audio. \u00a0don’t know why, but they did. \u00a0anyway, most of these Japanese are my nieces, nephews, and friends. \u00a0and no, we aren’t going back to Japan. \u00a0i think the guy who wrote this comment needs to come to Hawaii and experience some aloha. \u00a0this is how we enjoy Hawaii, this is how we enjoy surfing, and this is how we enjoy life. \u00a0jealousy and hate won’t get you anywhere…<\/p>\n
