{"id":120518,"date":"2021-11-10T08:46:52","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T23:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=120518"},"modified":"2021-11-09T08:48:54","modified_gmt":"2021-11-08T23:48:54","slug":"okinawa-shimanchu-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=120518","title":{"rendered":"Okinawa:  Shimanchu Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-94187\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/m11220090725135357.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>over the past 22 years, i&#8217;ve probably gone to Okinawa around 30 times. \u00a0this was one place where i would actually tear up when i&#8217;d be leaving. \u00a0i really felt like home there and i felt really connected to the culture and the people. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-94190\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kazubo-san is the coolest Okinawan you&#8217;ll ever meet. \u00a0i was super grateful to have meet him because his network of family and friends always made me feel like home. \u00a0so it made every one of my Okinawa trips super special. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-94188\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/P1010029.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>i clearly remember this trip to Okinawa with the Wakayama boys. \u00a0we would drive everyday for hours and hours listening to &#8220;Begin&#8221; in the car singing every song. \u00a0good food, good surf, good people, and good times&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-94186\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/m11120091116091454.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>you&#8217;re never too old to have a great time in Okinawa. \u00a0when ever i use to see these drinking games start, i would run back to my room and lock the door. \u00a0i was super strong when it came to alcohol, but no match for these guys.\u00a0so i just ran away. and sometimes they would be pounding on my door in the middle of the night. haha. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-94185\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/20090805151851.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>we&#8217;d be at the bar at Hokulea all night till all the staff went home. \u00a0then we&#8217;d still be there helping ourselves to the beer machine. \u00a0with a rooftop bar with your hotel room downstairs, why not?
