we just came in from a surf and this reporter came up to me and said “i heard there’s a problem with the parking here. \u00a0something like the surfers are frustrated with hotel workers using this parking lot?” \u00a0he asked if he could interview me for the news and first i said “no way. \u00a0i don’t want to cause problems between surfers and workers.” \u00a0then i thought “um, maybe i should tell both sides of the story because both sides have their own reason. \u00a0yes this parking lot is for surfers, but it’s literally the last free parking lot in Waikiki.” \u00a0\u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Screen-Shot-2022-01-11-at-11.49.30-PM-800x429.jpg\")

the answer to this problem is pretty simple. \u00a0there are signs that say you can only park for 6 hours or less. \u00a0so why aren’t the rules being enforced? \u00a0if there are no consequences, there is no remedy. \u00a0start giving tickets and towing cars, then the hotel workers won’t park there anymore. \u00a0pretty simple right? \u00a0this should have been taken care of 20 years ago. \u00a0paying to put up parking restriction signs and not enforcing the restrictions makes no sense to me.<\/p>\n
anyway, click below to see the parking problem that frustrates surfers. \u00a0of course, i’m not frustrated because if i was a hotel worker, i’d park there too. \u00a0so yeah, think about 2 sides of the story before you decide who to get frustrated at. \u00a0 i have hotel worker friends that park there and all i can say it that they’re smart. \u00a0why not right?<\/p>\n
