\u00a0that means Tropical Storm. \u00a0then the yellow color turning to orange, then to red. \u00a0red means &#8220;SUPER TYPHOON!&#8221; \u00a0i usually jumped on a flight to Japan right when i see the TS form. \u00a0we called it the typhoon egg. \u00a0meaning, &#8220;newborn.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98699\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/20090831194901.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>we use to chase those typhoons from Okinawa all the way to Sendai. \u00a0then when another &#8220;egg&#8221; forms, we would fly back to Okinawa and start the chase all over again. \u00a0sometimes this would go on for months! \u00a0so yeah, as a traveling surfer, i did my own laundry between swells.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98700\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/image.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"332\" \/><\/p>\n<p>this was one of the Super Typhoon days at this little island off Japan. \u00a0i can&#8217;t say where because i still want to be welcomed there. \u00a0haha. \u00a0i still remember how big and wild it was that day. \u00a0i rode a 7&#8217;6 gun and it still felt small. \u00a0it was 10-12&#8242; Hawaiian scale. \u00a0 no lifeguards and no hospital. \u00a0so yeah, it was risky business&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98694\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/m11220100829131808.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and when we scored good waves, we would always go out with the locals and eat the best food ever. \u00a0omg, i miss that the most!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98696\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/P1020163.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>and sometimes we would have a Japanese bbq. \u00a0this was my favorite.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98695\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/P1020153.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>surf good waves and eat good food. \u00a0that&#8217;s the surfers life&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-98697\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/P9062900.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>during those trips, i would only hang out with cool people. \u00a0Kaori-chan was Japan&#8217;s Grand Champion a few years and i should have known better to challenger her to pool. \u00a0she beat me pretty bad. \u00a0after i lost, i blamed the beer. \u00a0then we played again and she beat me again. \u00a0haha&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>see the TS?
