{"id":122282,"date":"2022-06-16T05:58:27","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T20:58:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=122282"},"modified":"2022-06-15T15:08:14","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T06:08:14","slug":"back-to-my-surf-city-casa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=122282","title":{"rendered":"Back to my Surf City Casa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-99091\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_4699-640x480-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>although El Salvador is known to be one of the most dangerous countries in the world, i was determined to go surf some secret spots i heard about. \u00a0i walked the beach one evening trying to make friends with the locals. \u00a0then i came across these 3 kids that were eager to speak English and guide me to the barrels. \u00a0i told them i wanted to leave the next morning at 4am and they thought i was crazy. \u00a0now that i think about it, maybe i was crazy. \u00a0haha. \u00a0i wound&#8217;t advise anyone to drive there when it&#8217;s dark.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-99090\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_1250-640x340-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"340\" \/><\/p>\n<p>we drove 30 minutes down the coast and came upon houses. \u00a0we parked outside, walked through the house, and there was this perfect white sand beach break. \u00a0not a single person around i couldn&#8217;t be happier. \u00a0i asked the kids the name of the spot and they said they didn&#8217;t know. \u00a0haha.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-99089\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_0093-640x427-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then they took me to Punta Roca for more barrels. \u00a0the waves were super good and i&#8217;m sure the WCT guys are going to make that wave famous. \u00a0i&#8217;m happy for the local economy, but bummed for the traveling surfers like myself that surfed these spots alone. \u00a0i guarantee you that it will never be the same&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-99092\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/IMG_6237.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then at the end of the day, i get dropped off at my Casa. \u00a0there is a guard standing there 24 hours a day with his shotgun ready in hand. \u00a0you would think it would make me feel safe, but it only made me think &#8220;um, i wonder why we need this kind of security guarding my casa?&#8221;
