\u00a0and the waves were much better than yesterday.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-101022\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG_7926-800x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>i used another teaching technique with my student and after 7 years, it finally worked! \u00a0now his switch is ON and he&#8217;s getting better and better each wave.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-101020\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG_7925-800x406.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"406\" \/><\/p>\n<p>this is a very cool and confident man. \u00a0i&#8217;m so happy to see that happen so fast!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-101023\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG_7893-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>after lunch, we went to the Okinawan Festival today and there was this one moment that almost made me cry. \u00a0when Honoka started to strum her ukulele, i got chicken skin. \u00a0then when the guys started to pound the taiko drums, my heart jumped. \u00a0then when Honaka started singing the lyrics to one of my all time favorite songs &#8220;Sanshin no Hana,&#8221; all my precious memories of Okinawa came straight to my heart. \u00a0i missed my friends, i missed the culture, and i missed everything about Okinawa. \u00a0i had to hold back my emotions and so was my Okinawan friend sitting next to me. \u00a0imagine us 2 grown men crying together. \u00a0haha.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-101018\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG_7927-800x437.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"437\" \/><\/p>\n<p>wiped away the tears and tried to find parking at Ala Moana Beach Park. \u00a0there was a Volkswagen car show so zero parking available.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-101019\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG_7931-800x462.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"462\" \/><\/p>\n<p>luckily i had my little van so we squeezed into a parking stall, then headed out to the surf. \u00a0and since there was no parking, i knew it was going to be empty.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-101021\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirby\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/IMG_7933-800x446.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"446\" \/><\/p>\n<p>omg, i thought we were going to surf knee high waves. \u00a0BUT, there was a South swell pulse and the waves got bigger and better. \u00a0we scored!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>this morning was so beautiful!!!
