over 10 years ago, i walked by the Billabong store in Waikiki and saw this advertisement of Seth Moniz. \u00a0back then, nobody in the world knew who this kid was. \u00a0that was just the beginning…<\/p>\n

then yesterday i was at the Billabong store looking for some warm clothes for Japan. \u00a0when i went to try it on…<\/p>\n

in the dressing room was this big photo of Josh Moniz.<\/p>\n

so i had to peak my head into the other dressing room and guess what? \u00a0yes, there was a big photo of Seth Moniz. \u00a0i was so stoked! \u00a0now these 2 kids are worldwide superstars!<\/p>\n

February is a good month to travel to the Philippines. \u00a0it’s the monsoon season where the North winds blow the waves down the coastline. \u00a0my friend owns a very secluded island where he built a house right in front of his private surf break. \u00a0he always send me videos and it’s a dream wave. \u00a0the only thing is getting there takes 2 days. \u00a0ummm, i’m still thinking about it…<\/p>\n

Philippines is one of the friendliest countries in the world. \u00a0super nice people that would climb a 100′ tree barefoot to get you a fresh coconut. \u00a0and for free!<\/p>\n

and the kids are so happy. \u00a0i don’t see iPhones or iPads, but these kids are some of the happiest i’ve ever seen. \u00a0always smiling and eager to interact with tourists like me…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
