Wyland Haleiwa Pro back in 1990. \u00a0the big news of that contest was when Tom Curren paddled out with a mysterious yellow railed surfboard with no logos. \u00a0everybody was shocked because he was the poster boy for his sponsors Ocean Pacific and Channel Islands. \u00a0so this was big news to the surf community as that became the talk of the contest. \u00a0come to find out, Maurice Cole shaped that board which turned out to be the most infamous surfboard in the history of surfing. \u00a0Tom Curren won the World Title that year and Maurice Cole became instantly famous. \u00a0<img surfboard collector in Japan. \u00a0he&#8217;s been collecting vintage surfboards before everybody knew the meaning of vintage. \u00a0so i wasn&#8217;t surprised at all seeing the most famous surfboard in the factory. \u00a0Tokura-san is very good friends with Maurice Cole so that might have helped in the process of getting this board. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
