I learned a lot of things about boat maintenance ever since I got my first boat over 30 years ago. \u00a0The most important thing is to use it as much as possible. \u00a0Even if it’s for a 10 minute ride, run it. \u00a0And if you don’t run your boat often, I guarantee you something will break. \u00a0I’ve had it happen to me, and I’ve seen it happen a lot of times to other people.<\/p>\n
I came back to the harbor yesterday and the boat owner next to me looked stressed out and was trying to fix his engine. \u00a0He said it’s running rough and idling high. \u00a0I knew he didn’t use his boat for a long time so I told him to go take it outside Waikiki and put it into FULL THROTTLE for 3 minutes. \u00a0That will clean the gas lines, the fuel injectors, exhaust, and everything in between. \u00a0He said he will try and when I got home, he texted me “omg, it’s fine now! \u00a0it worked!” \u00a0Simple solution.<\/p>\n
