As a surfer, it hurts a lot when you see something like this. \u00a0A 100′ luxury yacht stuck on the pristine reef at one of the best surf spots in the world, Honolua Bay. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

It’s not only destroying the reef, it’s also leaking toxic fluids into the beautiful marine sanctuary. \u00a0They still don’t know how to remove the yacht but if they don’t do it before the next swell, it will get much more ugly than it already is. \u00a0The locals of Maui are angry and you can’t blame them. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

The sad thing is that this could have been prevented. \u00a0The owners will probably end up paying millions in fines, but money doesn’t fix the reef. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n
