This is the first time we’ve all gotten together in Wakayama. \u00a0So this night was very very special. \u00a0We’re all surfer brothers who’ve known each other for decades. \u00a0The coronavirus kept us away from gatherings, but now it’s time to make up for that lost time. \u00a0And one of the ways is to get the Jan Ken Po game started. \u00a0Te-chan, Kimura-san from Wakayama. Kazubo-san and Omini-san from Okinawa. \u00a0Let’s go!<\/p>\n

Wakayama wins! \u00a0Haha. \u00a0I just watched all the video we took from that night and it was pretty emotional. \u00a0We were all so happy to be together that tears were shared. \u00a0These guys and girls have been family to me for over half of my lifetime. \u00a0And many more years to come.<\/p>\n

My brother told me the next day, “I always wondered why you kept on going to Japan so much for all these years. \u00a0Now I now why.” \u00a0 He’s already planning his next trip. \u00a0Haha.<\/p>\n

En has to be my favorite restaurant in Japan. \u00a0The food is amazing and the master chef is super cool. \u00a0The restaurant usually closes at 10pm but we stayed there until 12:30am. \u00a0Thank you Master for letting us continue the fun all night.<\/p>\n

Then our makeshift karaoke night started. \u00a0Kimura-san holding the sake scooper for the mic, and Kazubo-san dancing and entertaining us. \u00a0It was a night to remember. \u00a0Thank you guys for the laughs, tears, and joy. \u00a0Love you all!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
