I got a call from a loved one, “I need your advise?” \u00a0She said “I’ve been doing social media since I was 15 years old. \u00a0It’s like an addiction and I feel like I’m wasting hours of my life that I can’t get back. \u00a0Now I’m thinking about stopping, but it’s so hard!”<\/p>\n

I told her “You don’t need praise, likes, and distractions in your life. \u00a0Social media can be toxic if you’re unprepared for the hate you will encounter. \u00a0You are very young and have a bright future ahead. \u00a0Don’t give the haters a platform to attack you. \u00a0Just quit and don’t look back. \u00a0No regrets and just look forward.”<\/p>\n

10 minutes later, she sends me this screenshot. \u00a0“PERMANENT ACCOUNT DELETION.” \u00a0She cancelled all her social media accounts just like that! \u00a0I was so proud of her!!! \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

I also told her, “At 21 years old, you don’t need your 30,000 followers. \u00a0You just need your family and friends because we won’t just “like” you, we LOVE YOU!<\/p>\n
