For this trip, Indonesia was the main focus for surfing. \u00a0I just thought that we’d be lucky if Japan had surf too. \u00a0Because Japan is so fickle when it comes to waves, you have to think like that. \u00a0If you score in Indonesia, it’s normal. \u00a0But in Japan, luck is a big factor. \u00a0And since it’s my brothers first surf trip to Japan, we were extremely lucky! \u00a0Surfing this spot with just a few other locals was pretty awesome. \u00a0And seeing my brother surf again was even more awesome. \u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_1274-800x533.jpg\")

When I was in High School, Mason was one of the best surfers in our school. \u00a0He was the first guy I actually seen getting barreled. \u00a0I still have that moment pictured in my mind and ever since then, I wanted the same. \u00a0Now he surfs once in every 10 years and is locked into the 80’s surfer style, which looks cool. ![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/IMG_9134-800x600.jpg\")
