When I was a little kid, I use to live across the street from Kahala Mall. \u00a0Ever since then, I use to go into the See’s Candies store almost everyday to get a free sample of chocolate. \u00a0We didn’t have money so I would put on my sad face and hope for a free sample. \u00a0It only worked for the first few times and never after. \u00a0By the way, this See’s Candies store was the first one in Hawaii and has been here since 1970. \u00a0A very historic store.<\/p>\n

My favorite chocolate was the Rocky Road. \u00a0It was so expensive so they never gave samples of that. \u00a0Not even a little kids sad face worked. \u00a0The Rocky Road is located in the corner on the top shelf. \u00a0Can you believe it’s been there since 1975? \u00a0All these years, it’s never changed spots. \u00a0I use to even look through that side window dreaming of the day I can afford it.<\/p>\n

Now that I’m an adult, I go there once a year to buy myself some Rocky Road. \u00a0It’s not that I like chocolate, it’s the fact of being able to afford it. \u00a0It brings back all those memories dreaming of the day I can afford a piece. \u00a0Perhaps a taste of success? \u00a0Haha.<\/p>\n

I went to look at this house for sale that’s been on my bucket list for 20 years. \u00a0It’s located near my house and sits right on the peaceful stream. \u00a0Yes, at my age, I still dream. \u00a0This might be my next Rocky Road experience?<\/p>\n

There are a couple hidden gems here in Hawaii and this is one of them. \u00a0If I lived here, I wouldn’t want to leave.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
