It’s so funny how people fail at predicting the South shore swells. \u00a0Today was forecasted to be 3-5′ and it was almost flat. \u00a0This evening was predicted to be 4-6′ and it was still tiny. \u00a0We went out to Waikiki on the boat this afternoon and I didn’t even see a wave break. \u00a0BUT, it was perfect for diving so we grabbed our masks! \u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_7161-800x600.jpg\")

Today was the best day in a while for free diving. \u00a0The wind was calm, the ocean was flat, and the water visibility was as clear as can be. \u00a0Good to see a lot of fish again outside of Waikiki. ![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/IMG_7162-800x600.jpg\")

We dove for tako, fish, and shells. \u00a0We caught and released the tako and fish, and just came home with shells. \u00a0Beautiful shells! \u00a0 Our minds are clear again and will be waiting for the next swell if it ever comes. \u00a0If it doesn’t, we’re happily going free diving again. \u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/GPTempDownload-16-1-800x450.jpg\")
