When I first started to free dive, I use to hope the waves were flat everyday. \u00a0My job at the time was to surf so if there were waves, I’d have to go surf. \u00a0So waking up in the morning and seeing flat conditions was a treat sometimes. \u00a0Now, it’s the same feeling. \u00a0One of the flat days, it was pouring rain but we took the challenge. ![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/GPTempDownload-30-1-800x450.jpg\")

When ever I’m diving, I always swim around with my spear exposed on the surface like this. \u00a0This helps my dive partners to locate me, and more importantly, this prevents me from getting run over by other boats. \u00a0I teach everybody to dive like this. ![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/GPTempDownload-46-1-800x450.jpg\")

Back in the day: \u00a0I took the boys out to tako hunt. \u00a0They ended up having a tako fight. \u00a0Gen and Joshua acting like the kids they were. \u00a0And I’m pretty sure they still do it till this day. \u00a0Haha.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
