My eyes were glued to the TV all morning. \u00a0The Na Wahine O Ke Kai race from Molokai to Oahu was telecasted live. \u00a0The production of the event was top quality. \u00a0Not surprising as my classmate and friend Mike Pricket’s company Salt and Air Studios was filming it. \u00a0From the start of the beautiful island of Molokai all the way to Oahu was beautiful.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The 42 mile race course I’m very familiar because that’s the exact course I take when going to Molokai. \u00a0I learned so much by listening to the expert commentary by paddling legends. \u00a0The wind, the swells, the current, and the strategy was very interesting.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Super stoked to see Team Japan participating in this event. \u00a0I don’t care how you get across but crossing that dangerous channel is a huge accomplishment in itself.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The happy ending. \u00a0I watched it for 7 hours straight and thought the girls were amazing, and the production was amazing. \u00a0This was actually the first time I watched a race like this live on TV not my last.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Team Bradley for winning the competition. \u00a0And congratulations to Malia Mizuno for her first channel crossing and her first WIN! \u00a0Respect for all the girls for their accomplishment. \u00a0And congratulations for Mike Prickett for the amazing production. \u00a0It was top quality!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
