I went down early this morning to see this with my own eyes. \u00a0I couldn’t believe it! \u00a0Not just the view, but the smell was disgusting. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. \u00a0Well, I see this all the time in Indonesia and the Philippines but never here. \u00a0I understand the tree branches and things washing down from the mountain, but all the rubbish? \u00a0The maintenance guy at the Yacht Club has been working there for 50 years and he said he’s never seen anything close to this. \u00a0He was actually super pissed off when I was talking to him this morning. \u00a0He said this is unacceptable. \u00a0I agree.\"\"<\/p>\n

With all the homeless living under practically every bridge along the streams, this is their houses, their trash, and their human waste. \u00a0All mixed together. \u00a0Imagine falling into this water? \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Slippers, clothes, microwave ovens, trash bags, beds, furniture, and every kind of trash you can think of. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

All these boats won’t be able to go anywhere until this is cleaned up. \u00a0Thankfully Mayuki is in a safe place and not affected by any of this. \u00a0What’s the solution? \u00a0I think the government should pick up all the trash, then push the branches out into the channel and let nature do its thing. \u00a0In the meantime, don’t swallow water if you surf at Bowls. \u00a0And don’t surf if you have any open wounds. \u00a0This is pretty serious.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
