This morning we gambled and went to a secret spot. \u00a0Yesterday afternoon was kind of bumpy so I thought this morning would still be a little bumpy. \u00a0BUT, I was wrong again. \u00a0It was as clean as it will ever get. \u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/GPTempDownload-35-800x450.jpg\")

Nakahodo-san and I caught so many good waves. \u00a0And there were so many good waves unridden. \u00a0Lefts and rights peeling perfectly. \u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/GPTempDownload-36-800x450.jpg\")

Thankfully the gamble payed off. \u00a0After 2 hours of shortboard surfing, we paddled in as very happy surfers. \u00a0Today was the best I’ve surfed here in many years. \u00a0You could do 4 solid turns on every wave both left and right! \u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_5887-800x600.jpg\")

Then we drove past Diamond Head and there must have been a hundred surfers out there. \u00a0OMG, panic! \u00a0![\"\"](\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/IMG_5888-800x600.jpg\")
