Mateus is so excited about fishing. \u00a0I called him yesterday and asked him what he was doing. \u00a0He said he was going to the beach with his cousins. \u00a0Then he asked “why?” \u00a0I said that’s ok but I just called to ask you to go fishing. \u00a0He said “ok, I want to go fishing.” \u00a0I drove to the beach and he was waiting for me on the sidewalk. \u00a0He jumped in my car with his fishing pole and tackle. \u00a0I drove him to a place where we can fish and learn about the different species. \u00a0The very first time he put his pole in the water, he caught this aholehole! \u00a0You should have seen the smile in his face. \u00a0It was so precious! \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Aholehole is by far my favorite fish to fry in a pan. \u00a0It turns out so crispy that you can eat the whole thing, including the bones. \u00a0Mateus ended up catching so many but we released it back into the ocean. \u00a0As much as I’m teaching him about fishing, I’m also teaching him how to be responsible. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Then he caught this “mamo.” \u00a0This fish used to be eaten by Hawaiian chiefs. \u00a0By the end of the day, Mateus was tying his own hook, \u00a0putting on his own bait, catching his own fish, and taking the hook out of the fishes mouth. \u00a0Next time we’re going to catch, clean, and cook. \u00a0I can’t wait for that!<\/p>\n
