I found a hard drive that I thought I lost. \u00a0Opened it up and found some classic photos from traveling. \u00a0This was 20 years ago in the Philippines waiting at a small little airport. \u00a0Everything was manual, the airplane was tiny, and we had to take out some seats so our board bags could fit. \u00a0It was pretty scary. \u00a0As you can see, Tokura-san looked a little concerned. \u00a0We all did. \u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Big Wednesday was today as the big swell pumped solid 5′ sets to Ala Moana.<\/p>\n

We surfed Rockpiles because nobody was out. \u00a0It was huge! \u00a0This wave looks small but it’s actually big.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Paddling out is very tricky. \u00a0If you time it right, you will make it out. \u00a0If you don’t, you won’t make it out. \u00a0A lot of surfers couldn’t get out today. \u00a0There were a few broken boards too. \u00a0Hashimoto-san and Rocky were charging! \u00a0Today was a day of survival…<\/p>\n

Hashimoto-san had the best session this morning. \u00a0He caught the biggest and thickest wave of his life. \u00a0After that, he was completely satisfied. \u00a0I’m sure he will never forget that ride, and never forget that feeling.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
