{"id":1455,"date":"2009-03-13T14:41:55","date_gmt":"2009-03-13T05:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori3.sakura.ne.jp\/kirbyfukunaga\/2009\/03\/13\/big-fish-and-big-rainbow\/"},"modified":"2009-03-13T14:41:55","modified_gmt":"2009-03-13T05:41:55","slug":"big-fish-and-big-rainbow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=1455","title":{"rendered":"Big Fish, and Big Rainbow&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"files\/20090313142634.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/20090313142634.jpg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\ngood evening.  i woke up this morning and when i looked out my window, this is what i saw.  blue skies and a nice rainbow.  then i went outside to get my boat ready for a dive.  as soon as i opened my house door, i was freezing my ass.  it was sooo cold today&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"files\/20090313142950.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/20090313142950.jpg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\ni have some charts of the whole island and reefs at my house.  i was checking it out this morning.  this is how i find dive spots, reefs, and fish&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"files\/20090313143059.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/20090313143059.jpg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\nand when you have your secret spots, you catch fish.  i don&#8217;t think kyle knew that he was going to catch his biggest kumu ever today.  i say solid 3.25lbs or more.  we were out about a mile out to see in 80&#8242; deep water.  klye dove down 80&#8242; when he saw the fish sleeping outside of a hole.  he approached the hole, woke the fish up, then speared it.  the fish pulled him around for 30 seconds but he didn&#8217;t want to let go of the most prized and hardest to catch fish in hawaii.  a lot of work for this fish but well worth it&#8230;  kyle and his family are going to have a great dinner tonight&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"files\/20090313143730.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/20090313143730.jpg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\nryo is from japan but is a attending UH as a graduate student.  an active member of the surfrider foundation, an active surfer, and an active diver.  ryo is active.  he must have speared 25 fish today, including 2 tako.  great job ryo&#8230;<br \/>\n<a href=\"files\/20090313143930.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/20090313143930.jpg\" width=\"315\" height=\"420\" alt=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\nall 3 of us were freezing on the boat.  as soon as i jumped in my car, i put the heater on.  this is the 2nd time in my entire life i used my car heater in hawaii.  tomorrow might be the 3rd&#8230;  got many of stories, many of thoughts, and many of dreams.  but too tired right now.  going to hit the bed and sleep like a little baby.  nobody better bother me&#8230;  goodnight&#8230;[:Zzz:][:Zzz:]<br \/>\n**by the way, i made up kyle&#8217;s story.  the fish was actually sleeping in a hole in 6&#8242;
