today marks the 1 year anniversary of the earthquake\/tsunami\/nuclear disaster in japan. i have to say that my life has changed a lot since then. little things don’t bother me anymore, my days are much more beautiful than ever, my family and friends are the most important people in my life, and i appreciate every breath i take. what’s more life changing for me is the people i’ve met since march 11, 2011. i’m a lot more open minded now so i give most people the benefit of the doubt. i use to judge people even before i met them but not anymore. i don’t care who you are, where you come from, what color, what race, or what you have. if your nice, that’s enough. if your not, i don’t have any time for you. i just want to be around nice people for the rest of my life.
\nfor the past 365 days, my emotions were running wild. now, it’s calm. i know what i have to do, and i know how to get there. it might have taken a disaster to wake me up, but i’m awake and i’ll be doing my best to make things better.
\ni want to take this time to tell my friends in tohoku that i’m still thinking about you. i’m thinking about all my friends with businesses that were affected by the disaster, i’m thinking of all the loved ones that are still missing, and i’m thinking about how to make We Are One stronger so we can help more people. my mind is working and my body will follow. you haven’t seen anything yet! let’s move forward together.
