\ni had a wonderful day of surfing with Ryo-san and Miki-san. they are 2 wonderful surfers from okinawa who came to hawaii to surf for the first time. Ryo-san asked me “can you surf all day in hawaii?’ i thought that was funny but it’s not because when i come to think about it, you can only surf in okinawa on the high tide. on low tide, forget or you will die. you only have about 3 hours\/day to surf in okinawa and that’s the main reason it gets so crowded at times. if we could only surf 3 hours\/day in hawaii, i’d go crazy! so Ryo-san and Miki-san were super happy to be able to surf 2 rounds for a total of 5 hours water time in one single day. probably their first time doing that. we had a fun day and as soon as i met them, we got along fine. people from okinawa are so cool! thanks Ryo-san and MIki-san for the super fun day. good surf, good food, and good laughs. mensore!

\nevery time i see a japanese toilet, i laugh because of my experience when i first came to japan. i used this toilet backwards for 6 months and nobody told me anything. i thought the japanese were weird for having the toilet paper in the back of the toilet. for number 2, i use to face the door and it took some talent to reach back and grab the toilet paper. now, it’s easy. and the funnier thing is that i bet you a lot of foreigners are using it backwards till this day. haha. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
