for the past 22 years, i’ve always wanted to experience a capsule
\nhotel. well, the time has come. in japan, salary men who drink too
\nmuch, miss the train, or decide last minute to spend the night next to
\ntheir company end up staying here. it’s cheap, 4,200 yen or $51 USD to
\nbe exact. if i turned out to become a salary man, i would have stayed
\nin here over a hundred of times. but lucky traveling surfers like me
\nget to stay at minshiku’s, hotels, and ryokan’s. well, i thought i was
\nlucky until i stayed here. you get this small box as your room but it’s
\nperfect. once that shutter closes, your all alone and you actually get
\na good sleep. there is a shower, fudo, bathrooms, dining area, massage
\nchairs, and even a nice desk area where i’m typing this right now. i
\nlove it here! i feel so relaxed, so calm, and i had one of the best
\nsleeps since coming to japan. for the past 22 years, i’ve been trying
\nto time it to beat the last train home, been leaving my friends right as
\nthings start to get excited, or stressing all night about not making the
\nlong train ride back to shonan. from now on, i’m going to have fun in
\ntokyo, check myself into a capsule hotel, wake up the next morning, and
\ngo home. it’s easy, it’s convenient, and it’s efficient. i might even
\nstay here again tonight. haha.
\nanyway, M6 starts tomorrow. got to get some last things done because
\nthe next thing you know, i’ll be on a flight back to hawaii. it’s
\namazing how time just flies!!!
\nlast, wanted to thank naoka, ryosuke, miwa-san, and akko-chan for a
\ngreat time last night. that place we ate in shinbashi was amazing!
\nit’s funny how we have go-naminori meetings. we talk serious in a lobby
\nof a department store for 15 minutes, then we have a wonderful happy
\ndinner talking not about work, we talk about life. yes again, i have
\nthe greatest job in the world! or should i say “greatest jobs in the
\nworld.”
