{"id":18168,"date":"2012-05-24T13:05:15","date_gmt":"2012-05-24T04:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=18168"},"modified":"2012-05-24T13:05:15","modified_gmt":"2012-05-24T04:05:15","slug":"boat-trip-what-to-bring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=18168","title":{"rendered":"IMPORTANT for Boat Trip:  What to bring?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i&#8217;ve been on so many boat trips around the world that i stopped counting.  mentawai has to be my favorite because of the great waves and great diving.  on our upcoming trip, there are a few first timers so i made a list of some things to bring.<br \/>\n3 magic surfboards to get your barrels of your life.<br \/>\nrash guard to keep your skin from peeling off.<br \/>\na hat to protect you face.<br \/>\nsunscreen to prevent skin cancer.<br \/>\nwax and leash because there are no surf shops in the middle of the ocean.<br \/>\n2 surf trunks, one for surfing, one for after.  nothing else.<br \/>\n2 tshirts, one for day, one for night.<br \/>\nno underpants because no need.<br \/>\na good camera to capture your lifetime memories.<br \/>\na lot of snacks but hide it because toda-san will find it and eat it all.<br \/>\nno money because no need money in the middle of the ocean.<br \/>\ntravel insurance because if you get hurt, the only way out is helicopter that cost $50,000.<br \/>\nwasabi and shoyu if you want to eat sashimi every night.<br \/>\nshell bag for collecting the best shells of your life.<br \/>\nmask and snorkel for seeing some amazing wildlife.<br \/>\nkinkan to stop the itching so you can sleep.<br \/>\n1 long sleeve tshirt, long pants, and socks to prevent malaria if you go to the land.<br \/>\nvomit medicine if you get seasick.<br \/>\njacksan if you want to drink with me.  haha.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=18169\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18169\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/CIMG1559.jpg\" alt=\"CIMG1559\" width=\"490\" height=\"367\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-18169\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nmagic boards are important.  bring surfboards that work good so you don&#8217;t have to go home with any excuses.  if you have a good board, you will have good barrels.  simple.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=18170\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18170\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2237.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2237\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" class=\"alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium wp-image-18170\" \/><\/a><br \/>\never seen somebody spear a huge fish before.  bring a mask and snorkel to see how the sashimi ends up on the table later that evening.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=18171\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18171\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/IMG_2899.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2899\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" class=\"alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium wp-image-18171\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nand i tell this to everybody.  bring a tube of wasabi and a bottle of shoyu.  you will eat sashimi until you throw up.  haha.<br \/>\njust a few days more and the experienced boat trip travelers will mark one more trip under their belt.  and the first timers will experience something i encourage every surfer in the world to do.
