{"id":18391,"date":"2012-05-25T13:20:51","date_gmt":"2012-05-25T04:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=18391"},"modified":"2012-05-25T13:20:51","modified_gmt":"2012-05-25T04:20:51","slug":"mike-pricketts-reel-life-before-the-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=18391","title":{"rendered":"MIKE PRICKETT&#039;S REEL LIFE:  BEFORE THE ACCIDENT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>mike prickett and i went to the same high school.  we grew up surfing sandy beach and portlock back in the 80&#8217;s.  a true friend to me, the coolest guy in the world, and a golden heart.  mike&#8217;s always been like a brother to me.  always supporting me and always encouraging me.  mike risked his live to save another mans life.  i wasn&#8217;t surprised when he dove down to depths that could kill any person to save another mans life.  the other diver walked away, mike didn&#8217;t.  i went to the hospital to see him today.  i was really nervous at first, but when he seen me, he winked, smiled, told me he loves me, and hugged me like a brother.  i was lost for words, but like always, he made me feel good somehow.  it&#8217;s just the kind of person he is.  and if you met him, you would understand why.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=18392\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18392\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/photo-120.jpg\" alt=\"photo 1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-18392\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nthey have a big team at Kuakini Hospital working with him.  trying to get him to walk again.  they just brought in a high tech assisted electronic walker to help him get his feeling back in his legs.  he&#8217;s paralyzed from the waist down and i&#8217;m praying to god that he can walk again.  he&#8217;ll be in the hospital for another month so if you know him, please stop by and give the man a hug.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=18393\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-18393\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/photo-214.jpg\" alt=\"photo 2\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium wp-image-18393\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nHey Mike,<br \/>\nYou&#8217;re my Hero.<br \/>\nI was so stoked to see you today.<br \/>\nYou risked your life for somebody else and I know you would do it again if you had to.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll be thinking about you everyday and when I get back from my trip, I&#8217;ll take you over another bento.<br \/>\nHang in there and I know you will walk again!
