{"id":20438,"date":"2012-07-23T05:58:11","date_gmt":"2012-07-22T20:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=20438"},"modified":"2012-07-23T05:58:11","modified_gmt":"2012-07-22T20:58:11","slug":"tohoku-bbq-in-hawaii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=20438","title":{"rendered":"Tohoku BBQ in Hawaii"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=20439\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20439\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/photo-220.jpg\" alt=\"photo 2\" title=\"photo 2\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20439\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nyesterday we had such a great bbq with the kimura-san family.  the food, the vibe, and everything was awesome.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=20440\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20440\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/photo-413.jpg\" alt=\"photo 4\" title=\"photo 4\" width=\"510\" height=\"467\" class=\"alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium wp-image-20440\" \/><\/a><br \/>\na lot of people helped in someway or another after 3\/11.  all of us put so much energy into our WE ARE ONE missions and if it wasn&#8217;t for the thousands of people that supported us, none of this could have happened.  our team went to tohoku 6 times representing each and every one that supported us mentally, physically, and financially.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=20441\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20441\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/photo-320.jpg\" alt=\"photo 3\" title=\"photo 3\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium wp-image-20441\" \/><\/a><br \/>\ni haven&#8217;t had a hawaiian local style bbq in a while.  made me think that we should do this more often.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=20442\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20442\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/photo-123.jpg\" alt=\"photo 1\" title=\"photo 1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium wp-image-20442\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nwhat it really comes down to is making the kids happy.  i still remember thinking that if i go up to tohoku and make one kid smile, i will be satisfied.  we&#8217;re a year and 4 months out and it&#8217;s these kids smiles that make me want to do more and more.  shiroi-chan and shun-kun tandem surfing yesterday.  i couldn&#8217;t believe how much these kids love the ocean.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?attachment_id=20443\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20443\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/photo-56.jpg\" alt=\"photo 5\" title=\"photo 5\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium alignnone size-medium wp-image-20443\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nmari-chan got out the ukulele, we all got together and sang one of my favorite songs &#8220;Shimanchu Nu Takara.&#8221;
