\nthe lone tree in Rikuzentanaka that survived the tsunami is deteriorating because of the salt water. so they decided to cut it down and preserve it. i think that’s a good idea because the tree is the symbol of hope. i’ve been to Rikuzentanaka and everything was wiped out. i hope they rebuild and stand tall just like the tree.
