good morning. 5:45 am on this chilly monday. can’t see a thing but i can feel like the waves are going to be good!!! no wind now and the swell should be 3-5′? that’s just a guess. i want to get in the water before light so i better get going. hope you have a nice day[:?????\u001b$B!x\u001b(B???:]

\ni was so stoked to see this photo of the barrels team enjoying the crab festival at morigen-san’s place in kyoto. i wish i were there enjoying the juicy crab, nice fudo, and white sandy beach barrels. everybody, please save some crab and waves for me….

\ni was watching isaiah’s round 3 heat yesterday afternoon. it was nerve racking. i mean, i was yelling and screaming at my computer. i would be stressing out too much if i were actually there in new zealand. i want this kid to do good and he already made it to a place where kids dream of. from the 4th round on, isaiah has nothing to lose. cut loose boy!!!
\nafter i watched isaiah advance out of his heat, i went to surf v-land. the waves were pretty fun and it was good to see all the japanese boys ripping. joshua and seth paddle out as i was going in. then i thought how cool it was to see my nephews paddling out to the major surf spots on the north shore by themselves. and rip it up. i’m sure they will get their chance for the junior world championships one day.
