\ni was on the freeway driving out to the north shore when i seen this cool car. what was it????

\ni drove on the side and it was an old fire truck! this must have been from the 60’s or something. super cool! check out the driver tripping out on me taking a photo going 70mph. haha.

\nthe traffic going out to the north shore these days is crazy! and this is every single day! just to drive 1 mile or 1.6km from haleiwa to laniakea takes over an hour. if you know me, i don’t like traffic. and i don’t think i will ever drive out there in the day time again. only early morning surf for me.
\n\"photo<\/a>
\nwhy the traffic? because every single tourist that visits hawaii goes to laniakea to bother the turtles. thousands of tourists taking photos and disrupting the turtles all day long. i kind of feel bad for the turtles. what happened to their peaceful time? gone forever!

\nbut once you pass the traffic, you can experience the real beauty of the north shore. swam for a while, grabbed a tako out of a hole, took some photos, and just enjoyed this beautiful summer day. then came back to town and warmed up the harley. took it for a spin up and into the mountains. from the makai to mauka or the ocean to the mountains. lovely!
\ntomorrow i’m going back to my schedule of surfing 2 or 3 rounds a day and spending about 5-6 hours in the water. a few more days of that then i’m on an airplane going somewhere. where? i have no idea yet. just going with the flow and hopefully end up in the best place in the world, besides hawaii. have a great evening. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
