today was such an awesome action packed day! surfed, ate, many meetings, evening dive, full moon, and fireworks to end it off!
\nMasamune-kun practiced last night like i asked him to. today, he was ready and did better and better. stood up on the 10′ easily, caught so many waves, and had fun. so i put him on Kelia’s 9’0 and he rode 2 waves. a 9’0 is his goal and he’s almost there! he will practice again tonight, tomorrow, and when we surf on thursday, this kid should be ready! a super fast learner.
\nit was lunch time and today i didn’t ask him what Masamune-kun wanted to eat because i know he was going to say “Teddy’s Hamburger.” instead, i took him to healthy Andy’s in manoa and we both ate the tuesday mushroom chicken special. he loved it!

\nwhere else on this island can you get a big plate lunch for only $5.95? only at Andy’s.

\nthen i took the kid up to tantalas for the most spectacular view. he told me “oh, i should have brought my camera!” so stoked to see this shy kid smiling all day long. and finally, he started to laugh at my jokes. haha.

\ni was super busy today working and in meetings. i got home at 4:30 in the afternoon and was ready to take a nap before dinner. then i get the text from Brent saying “5:30 dive?” forget the nap, i jumped in the car and headed down to the harbor.

\ni didn’t know it was full moon today! it came up over diamond head and it was amazing! here is Brent, who happened to be Hawaii’s Most Eligible Bachelor at one time. a dentist, a cool guy, and the biggest sunrise shell collection in hawaii. any girl would jump on that.

\nwe came in at night and the moon over waikiki was like a picture. i could have stayed out there all night and went straight to work tomorrow morning by jumping right off the boat at bowls.

\nthen we washed up, said our goodbye’s, and then i heard a huge BOOM!!! fireworks? usually it’s on fridays but why tonight? full moon fireworks? i’ll take it!

\nanother amazing day goes by. i’m super tired but super satisfied at the same time. i’ve been cutting down on my computer work so my life is much more balanced now. i know when i want to work, and i know when i want a vacation. someday my whole life will be a vacation and i can’t wait for that! until then, i’m going to live the ultimate balanced life and enjoy every breath! good night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
