{"id":37900,"date":"2013-08-28T18:39:53","date_gmt":"2013-08-28T09:39:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=37900"},"modified":"2013-08-28T18:39:53","modified_gmt":"2013-08-28T09:39:53","slug":"stranger-in-taiwan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=37900","title":{"rendered":"No-Naminori, Stranger in Taiwan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>wow, slept last night at 2am, got up at 5:30am.  so to put things in perspective, it took me 14 hours to get to taipei, i went sleep at 8am hawaii time, and woke up at 11:30am hawaii time.  then jumped on a 2 hour train, 2 hour cab ride, and now i&#8217;m on the southern most tip of taiwan.  i feel like somebody injected me with crack cocaine.  haha.<br \/>\nso i&#8217;m walking at taipei main station, then i see a chinese stranger standing in the corner.  he looked homeless or something.  then i look closer and the guy looks like somebody i know.  don&#8217;t you think he looks like Kimura-san?  so i ask him if everything is alright.  he told me he&#8217;s lost.  so i bring him with me to kenting.  i just picked up another stranger.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-131.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-131.jpg\" alt=\"photo 1\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-37901\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nhaha.  i&#8217;m just joking,  that&#8217;s Kimura-san as he joined me on this typhoon chasing tour 2013.<br \/>\ni was a tight ass my whole life trying to save a penny here and there traveling with my cel phone.  finally i said screw it!  i turned it on this trip with my hawaii service provider.  yes, it will cost me $2.50\/minute but it&#8217;s ok because i can use it to navigate and check emails.  so if you call me this week and hear a chinese or japanese ring tone, hang up or you will be charged the long distance charge too.  haha.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-21.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-21.png\" alt=\"photo 2\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-37902\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nsome taiwanese beef noodle soup for lunch.  $2 and awesome!<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-326.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-326.jpg\" alt=\"photo 3\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-37903\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nNo-Naminori?  yeah, they closed the beaches because of the typhoon.  too many people die in taiwan during typhoons so they close the beaches.  luckily we have our local guide and <a href=\"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/taiwan-surfreport\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">go-naminori official blogger Keith Kajioka<\/a> taking us to the secret spots.  today we surfed some awesome waves.  good vibe here in the water.  i love it.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-423.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/photo-423.jpg\" alt=\"photo 4\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-37904\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nsee the second floor of Aloha Kitchen?
