\ni just had to take a photo of my new Penn reel. i can’t believe these things cost around $1,000 with the line. luckily i didn’t have to pay for it but it’s still something i don’t want to lose. and now you know why i was so pissed the other day. haha.

\nand it’s here! the long awaited video of Wendell Ko spearing this monster marlin. 508lbs. and all caught on HD video by Kyle Nakamoto. april 1st it airs on OCN16 and i just hope you don’t miss this. timing is important in spearfishing and filming and Wendell’s timing and Kyle’s timing couldn’t have been any better. once this Hawaii Skin Diver TV airs, it will make world headline news. congratulations to two cool people! awesome job!

\nthe waves on the south shore have been super fun. just people enjoying the uncrowded surf everywhere.

\nlook at the gold coast in the back ground. the most sought out beach front property in the world.

\ndays like this are better to ride a longboard for long rides. this day had 3 surfers in the water when i passed by. if this were japan, there would be 300 surfers out for sure.
\nnorth shore still good, south shore swell coming this week. still full flights to japan and i’m wondering how i’m going to get there. like i said, if there’s a will, there’s a way. but as long as i’m in the airplane, i’m all relaxed and good to go. and if i have to paddle there, i will. see you soon! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
