{"id":45095,"date":"2014-09-09T05:12:05","date_gmt":"2014-09-08T20:12:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=45095"},"modified":"2014-09-09T05:12:05","modified_gmt":"2014-09-08T20:12:05","slug":"tuna-heart-sashimi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=45095","title":{"rendered":"Tuna Heart Sashimi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_0866-copy.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_0866-copy.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0866 copy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48705\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nbeen seeing some cute mongooses running around at diamond head.  for those of you who don&#8217;t know, mongooses were brought to hawaii back in 1883 to control the rats in the sugar cane fields.  it didn&#8217;t go as planned and the mongooses multiplied and multiplied.  then they started eating turtle eggs and birds instead.  i think it&#8217;s mistake bringing these kind of species to hawaii because it just throws off the eco system.  mongooses have no natural predators in hawaii so don&#8217;t expect them to be gone anytime soon.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/photo-d2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/photo-d2-480x640.jpg\" alt=\"photo d2\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-48704\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nmy eyes have been getting bad from all this sun.  can&#8217;t see at night so need these special glasses.  and i still can&#8217;t see.  haha.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Screen-shot-2014-08-07-at-11.09.25-AM.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/Screen-shot-2014-08-07-at-11.09.25-AM-640x437.jpg\" alt=\"Screen shot 2014-08-07 at 11.09.25 AM\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-48703\" \/><\/a><br \/>\ni don&#8217;t care if i can&#8217;t see a small wine bottle label.  as long as i can see where i&#8217;m going with my surfboard, that&#8217;s all that matters.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5883.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5883.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5883\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-45096\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nwas super stoked to see Demetrias spear his first yellowfin tuna in panama.  it was amazing seeing this monster fish swimming around in the deep blue sea.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5917.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5917.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5917\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-45097\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nthere is a saying:  when you catch your first tuna, you have to eat the heart for good luck.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5919.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5919.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5919\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-45098\" \/><\/a><br \/>\ni&#8217;m not sure if it is true, but Demetrias ate it anyway.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5921.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/IMG_5921.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5921\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-45099\" \/><\/a><br \/>\ni think it would have tasted better with shoyu\/wasabi.  haha.  good job on your first yellowfin Demetrias!
